Forging press crankshaft bolt removal:

Drilled and removed a 3-inch diameter broken crankshaft bolt seized ins ide a 5-inch deep threaded blind hole in the main frame of a large Danley forging press. Using our heavy-duty in-field drilling and boring capabilities, we pilot-drilled and machined the bolt to the inside diameter of the threads, then removed the remaining material—leaving the original threads intact and ready for the original-size bolt. Both of the client’s Danley presses were repaired on-site and quickly returned to service, avoiding the massive expense and downtime of press replacement.

Vibrated concrete block machine restoration:

Performed line boring repairs on worn shaft lever pin bores of a block manufacturing machine for which replacement parts were no longer available. We hand-welded the worn bores, realigned and leveled the pin layout, and align-bored them over a 10-foot span to match original dimensions. Using customer-supplied pins and retainers, the repair was completed on-site, extending the machine’s service life by many years.

Mixer shaft bushing bore repairs:

Restored the mixer shaft bushing bores on a Patterson Kelly stainless steel mixing blender that had developed excessive shaft movement and vibration. We hand-welded and re-machined the bores, seal mounting surfaces, and faces to factory specifications using our small-diameter line boring machine. Lubrication ports were unblocked, and the original brass bushings and grease seals were hydraulically pressed back into place. Two of these blenders were repaired in place, as they were permanently installed within the building structure.

By performing these repairs on-site, we eliminate the need for costly disassembly or replacement while delivering the durability, precision, and performance our customers rely on.
